11th Annual Orlando GOES GOLD!

Our Mission is to raise Awareness to Childhood Cancer and to encourage the Central Florida Community to join us in our fight for a CURE.

In Loving Memory at The Lake Nona Beacon - September 6, 2025 at 5:00 - 9:30 pm EST

The Beacon at Lake Nona will be going Gold in support of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Saturday, September 6th 2025. The Beacon will project thousands of the names of children who have passed from childhood cancer. Please come out to support the families and friends who are missing their loved one.

Itinerary:

5:00 - 6:30 pm: Angel Parent Pinning Ceremony and Dinner at the Aloft Lake Nona - 7215 Corner Dr.

7:00 - 9:30 pm: Lighting of the Beacon and entertainment at Lake Nona Town Center - 6900 Tavistock Lakes Blvd. Orlando, FL 32827

We will be hosting an Angel Pinning Ceremony and dinner event on September 6thwith pizza and salad from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm at the Aloft Orlando Lake Nona- 7215 Corner Dr. There will be transportation shuttles taking you from the Aloft to the Lake Nona Town Center where the beacon is located.

There will also be a get together breakfast at the Marriot hotel on the Sunday morning following the event. We have blocked hotel rooms at the Marriot hotels on site (there are 2 hotels available) for a discounted price of $179 a night for all families who want to stay for the weekend. Please book as soon as possible to avoid missing out on a room. Link: Reservation-Link

There are three shirts this year as well as hoodies, front and back. They are black with a new design and sadly over 200 new names have been added.

Shirts and hoodies will be available for purchase until Friday, June 27th, 2025. Shirts will ship out the end of August just in time for September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

Lake Eola's Light of Hope and JOY - September 14, 2024 at 7:00 pm EST

10th YEAR!!!!! Please join us to help bring awareness to childhood cancer! Wear GOLD, or your organization's shirt. Bring your signs to raise awareness and pictures of your child. We meet at the International Bridge which is close to the playground and World of Beer.

The Orlando Eye by Merlin Entertainments at ICON Park - September 21, 2024 at 7:00 pm EST

The Orlando Eye by Merlin Entertainments at ICON Park will be going GOLD on Saturday, September 21st 2024 in support of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Plan to meet in front of the Eye at 7:00 pm. Please show your support and wear GOLD or your organization's shirt. Bring posters or anything to hold up in front of the Orlando Eye to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Please share this and we hope to see you there!
